Support for customers in developing lighting solutions and products
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is expanding its service offering for customers in the general illumination sector with PASS (Premium Application Support Services), the service portal. Since the highly successful pilot launch of the portal in June 2013, numerous OSRAM customers have been actively supported in developing their lighting solutions and products. PASS offers extensive technical services such as measurements, simulations and prototyping support.
The procedure is simple. Customers who are developing a new luminaire or lighting solution can go to the PASS website and put their questions to the sales contact. They then receive support from OSRAM experts that is tailored to their specific needs. Concrete measures include support in creating prototypes, measurements on customer prototypes and simulation support.
“With PASS we can support more customers as they develop their lighting concepts and make LED technology even easier for everyone to implement”, explained Kim Peiler, Application Engineer at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. “We have already been able to help hundreds of customers, and PASS is already being seen as a very useful tool”, she added.
The concept of service has always had high priority at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. The company has been actively involved in the OSRAM “LED Light for you” (LLFY) partner network since 2006. This global network supports anyone looking for LED solutions for the general illumination sector. PASS is the next logical step toward even broader customer service.
